Backdraft Racing was founded in early 2001 with the goal to build the best quality Cobra Replica’s for export to the USA, backed by years of endurance racing experience the 1984 24hrs of Daytona Champion, Tony Marten began production of the roadster and along with longtime business partner Reg Dodd launched the Backdraft Racing Brand from the HQ in Boynton Beach Florida. The company has evolved considerably over the past few years to affirm its position as an industry leader. Backdraft Racing Roadsters are hand built in our state of the art facility

Body Paint and Exterior finish
The body is a high-quality single piece glass reinforced polymer shell reinforced at key points for extra strength. All the hanging components are double skinned with fiber matt and catalyzed resin to add extra strength to the overall structure. After meticulous preparation, the body shell is painted using a modern basecoat paint system. The final stage of the paintwork is carefully completed with the application of three layers of clear coat and cured for 72hrs to ensure a high gloss and durable paint finish.
Cockpit and interior finish
As standard, the cockpit of the car features 50‘s styling co bined with modern day effi ency. The car comes fully carpeted with a high-grade carpet, seats come upholstered in high-quality leather with many options through the Bespoke division to customize your roadster. The interior of the car is not only fully functional, but it is also comfortable and can accommodate a taller driver (in excess of 2m).
The interior is completed with a wood-rimmed or leather-wrapped steering wheel, self-canceling turn signal and a full complement of 7 instruments. The car comes standard with a fully functional stainless»stee| driver side roll bar.
Chasis and Suspension
The chassis is constructed from rectangular steel tubing, reinforced with steel plates in several areas to add rigidity and is finally treated to an epoxy coating.
The front suspension has cast lower wishbones with a coil over strut. We also use a stabilizer bar which adds to the overall handling of the car.
The car utilizes a full Independent, Rear, Suspension system, with a centrally guided multi-link, 2 track control arms, and one longitudinal arm. The front and rear suspension are fully adjustable.
